AED 500 Per person

Our Khasab Musandam scuba diving trip is AED 500 per person if you already hold a dive license, for two guided dives in the fjords with all the gear. If you’ve never dived before, it’s AED 600, and the instructor teaches you the basics in shallow water before you go down. Friends or family who’d rather stay near the surface can come on the boat for AED 300 and swim with a mask and snorkel while you dive. You meet the team at our dive center in Khasab at 9:30 am, and you’re back by about 3:30 pm. Your instructor decides where to dive on the day, depending on how clear and calm the water is. The trip goes ahead once 2 divers have booked.

Musandam Diving Itinerary

  • 9:30 am Gear check at our dive centerMeet the team at our dive center in Khasab, where they check your license, test the equipment and fit your wetsuit, fins and mask. Beginners get a short talk on hand signals and breathing before boarding.
  • 10:00 am Drive to the port and boardA short drive takes you from the dive center to Khasab port, where you board the speedboat. The ride to the dive site takes a while, and your instructor picks the spot where the water is clearest and calmest that morning.
  • 11:00 am First diveLicensed divers go down with the guide along the reef and rock walls to see the marine life of the fjords. Beginners start in shallow water with the instructor, and only go deeper once they feel comfortable.
  • 12:00 pm Break on the boatEveryone rests on board with snacks and water while the crew changes the tanks. Snorkelers can swim at the same spot during the dives and the break.
  • 1:00 pm Second diveThe boat moves to a new site for the second dive, often with different fish and coral from the first. The instructor keeps the same small group together underwater.
  • 3:30 pm Back in KhasabThe speedboat brings you back to the port, and the vehicle drops you at the dive center to rinse off and change. Transfer guests meet their driver for the drive back to the UAE at about 4:00 pm.

Which Dive Option Is Right For You?

If you hold a PADI or other international dive license, the AED 500 option is for you: two guided dives with the full kit, so you only bring your license. If you’ve never dived, or your license has expired, book the AED 600 beginner option. The instructor teaches you in shallow water first and stays with you on both dives. If someone in your group doesn’t want to dive, they can come on the same boat for AED 300 and snorkel while you’re underwater. That way families and couples can spend the day together, even when only one person dives.

Before You Dive

  • Avoid a heavy meal before and between the dives
